eve teixeira (1984, Fortaleza - CE) is a visual artist and psychoanalyst.

whether in oil painting, acrylics, or drawing, it is possible to identify a body of work with a strong autobiographical matrix, in which themes such as woman, home, anguish, fear, sadness, and death intertwine and intersect
"i can say that my artistic journey is an eternal exploration of the human soul; an incessant quest for connection between the individual and something greater.
As a Fashion Designer and a psychotherapist passionate about Jungian thought and the ancient wisdom of Asian culture, I find in art a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious, between the self and the universe".

she was born in the heart of the Ceará hinterlands, in a small town called Acopiara. She lived with her grandparents until the age of 14 in a nearby district named Trussú, after the river that flows through it, home to approximately 4,000 inhabitants. As a child, she grew up 'free' under the scorching sun, bathing with a gourd and playing ball in the streets. She also grew up with a strong sense of independence, and it was through this experience that she embraced art as her form of expression. Dance, theater, drawing, and costume, practiced in a shy yet free-spirited way, helped shape her personality
"Art, for me, is a tool that explores manifestations of the unconscious and the soul. All my creations reflect how I perceive the world, my yearnings, and deepest reflections, as well as my joys and vision of love. They also reveal my vulnerability, allowing you to get to know a little more about who I am through them."
graduated in Fashion Design in 2003, Eve completed psychoanalytic training, and pursued a postgraduate degree in the field; studies human expression as art and is currently immersed in research on anguish and self-inflicted death

her works are an attempt to capture the fleeting essence of the present, of feelings, of life's fragments, and to give shape to what she feels, since linear thoughts often elude us. Using various techniques and mediums, she seeks to create works that invite contemplation and introspection about oneself.

in 2024, she participated in the group exhibitions 'The Heychyeomoyeo' in Seoul and Busan, South Korea; was part of the artist residency at the Mariana Furlani Gallery in Fortaleza, alongside visual artist Claudia Sampaio; also took part in the Creative Imagination Lab at the SESC SP Center for Training and Research, and held her first solo exhibition, 'Objeto a', in her hometown.

she believes that the arts, much like analysis, are powerful tools to reveal our true selves and to connect us with the essence that resides within us. For the artist, it goes beyond mere artistic expression.

in working with the theme 'Objeto a,' Eve invites others to reflect on life in all its complexity and subjectivity, serving as a reminder that we are part of a universe in constant movement and transformation, and that our emotions do not need to be seen as a problem, but as a part of ourselves
